Privacy policy

Scripted Live is a live Bible-trivia platform for churches, schools, and other gatherings. A host runs a session; people join on their phones with a PIN, or practise on their own. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who helps us run the service.

What we collect

• If you sign in (hosts and solo players): your email address. If you use “Continue with Google”, your Google account email and basic profile.
• If you join a live session: a display name you choose — no account or email needed. We also record the answers, scores, and streaks from that session.
• If you play solo: your rounds, answers, scores, and a daily streak, kept against your account.
• Basic technical data needed to run and secure the service (for example, request logs).

How we use it

To run games, sign you in, keep your history and stats, and keep the service working and secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who helps us run the service

We use trusted providers to operate Scripted Live, and your data may be processed on their systems:

• Supabase — authentication and database.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Our email provider — to send sign-in links.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep account and gameplay data while your account or sessions are in use. You can ask us to show you what we hold, or to delete your account and its data, by emailing hello@scriptedlive.com.

Young people

Scripted Live is often used by youth groups and schools that may include children. Live play is designed to need no personal details beyond a display name. Where a group includes minors, the hosting organisation is responsible for obtaining any consent required in their setting. If you believe a child has given us more information than they should have, please contact us and we will remove it.

We will update this page as the service and this policy are finalised. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
